Duncan Academy has been an English Medium school in Raxaul since 1996. Over the years it has provided a first class education for boys and girls of this community. Children are accepted irrespective of their caste, creed or religion.

It is well known in the community as a Christian School. Its motto is "Seek, study, serve".

The school is situated in Duncan Hospital Campus, making it an ideal location for children from Raxaul and district as well as those from over the border in Nepal. There is also accomodation for boarders in the adjoining school hostel. All staff members live on the campus.

In recent years school enrolment has grown remarkably to more than 730 children, including 49 boarders and over 150 in the Kindergarten. Children enter at nursery level and remain until 14 years old.

At the moment, those going on to further education have to move to other schools, usually in the South of India but are given every assistance and encouragement from Duncan staff.
